What you see in the image might look like a sweet dish in preparation, but it isn’t one.
It is in fact is sweet refreshing summer-time lovin’ for your skin.

With immunity in mind, We’ve all been drinking a lot of orange juice, a reservoir of VitC, but did you know its peel is beneficial too?

What I do instead of binning them is leaving them to dry under the sun or by the window for a good one week- 10 days, and then proceed to make an at-home face pack containing:

  • Dried orange peels ground to fine dust in a mixi
  • Pure Honey
  • Pure Rose Water
  • Milk

Mixing all the ingredients together, I slather it on my face.

I then settle back with a book, giving myself some time off. Also, the orange peel granules have a tendency of falling off and leaving a mess haha!

Coming to the benefits of the ingredients,

  • Milk introduces a vein of anti-bacterial soothing much required for those suffering with a crop of acne. (If you have dry skin, use yogurt instead of milk).
  • Honey boosts moisture and also helps slow the face pack drying up. The longer it is on your face, the longer the ingredient work its wonder.
  • Orange peels contain Vitamin C, which helps in boosting collagen and elastin formation thereby preventing wrinkles and skin sagging. It’s also been known to reduce pigmentation and acne marks.

So why not give it a try? With it being an all-natural face pack, rest assured of it being gentle.

Remember to store the orange peel powder in an air tight container to prevent mildew formation.

So, till the next recipe,
